A Wet but Great Day!

A little rain couldn't stop us! We had such a great day exploring Prince's Island Park and the surrounding downtown. Students participated in 3 different activities to help learn more about an important water system (Wetlands), the history of the area, and also took a scavenger hunt to learn more about our downtown area. Don't be surprised if your child is a little more tired than normal as we did a lot of walking today!
3 Things We Learned Today:
1. "I learned that there is a bug that looks like a turtle at the river" S.M.
2. "I learned and saw that there is a passageway in the bushes and trees that leads to the river" M.S.
3. "We learned that there are a lot of tall building downtown" N.G.

Bonus Homework Question: Tomorrow we will partake in our annual Terry Fox Run. What city did the Terry Fox run begin in? Where did the run end?

Reminders:
1. Terry Fox run tomorrow. Please wear your red Maple Ridge t-shirt.
2. Bring a donation for the Terry Fox Run. A toonie is suggested.
3. Picture/Photo orders due back Monday.
4. Scholastic book orders due by Monday.
