Welcome Back to another Great Year of Learning!

Welcome Back! It was fantastic to see the excited faces this morning on the playground and re-unite with many friends. We had a busy day of learning in Room 2 shaped around setting expectations for the year ahead and beginning to dig into our creativity.

Each student received a small container of playdough today in which they could create whatever they wished. It was interesting to see the different likes, loves and personalities emerge through a simple piece of playdough. I encourage you to use this playdough over the year to help further the development of your child's creativity whether it be to represent a concept learned in class or reinforce basic skills.

Later on in the day we explored two important questions:
  1. What do you need from your classmates to help you learn?
  2. What can Miss. Moore do to help you this year?
From the student responses we were able to generate 4 expectations for our classroom this year. I encourage you to read them over with your child at Meet the Teacher night this week.
Overall it was a great day and we all enjoyed getting to know one another a little bit better. Here's to a great year ahead!

Reminders: Meet the Teacher Night  Thursday, September 6th 5-7pm
