A Visit from Iqaluit

Today we had Mr. Matt come and visit our classroom. He works at the Arctic Institute of North America. He taught us all about life in the Arctic! We even played a seal racing game where we had to race across the classroom pretending we were seals. It was hard because we couldn't use our legs
We enjoyed delivering our Valentines. Your child came home with some treats from their friends. We did not eat them at school, but instead will let you choose when and if to enjoy them.
Lastly, Mr. Garcia took small groups of students to go and learn how our school is heated. We got to peek into the Boiler Room and the Fan Room. Many of us thought they school was heated through the insulation or the vents. We were surprised to learn that there is a very large boiler in the school
